Child Protection Policy (CPP)
Trio World School upholds the rights and development of all children in our
care as outlined by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. We oppose
all forms of child safety violations including child abuse such as physical
and sexual abuse, exploitation, emotional abuse and neglect. We place the
protection and welfare of children at the core of all activities.
This Child Protection Policy (the “CPP”) provides an understanding of the
various forms of child abuse, the need for the School to have a CPP and the
procedures to prevent and report child abuse incidents that may occur during
any interaction between the Members (as defined below) of the School and the
children.
To ensure child safety, our staff is trained to follow child safe behaviours
and practices. They are trained to look for any signs or symptoms for child
abuse/neglect of any kind and alert the school management immediately. This
includes sexual, physical, or emotional abuse and neglect. We have clear
procedures for the reporting such issues to the authorities and agencies
required, for investigation and resolution of such issues.
These processes involve trained professional staff and a Child Protection
Committee (CPC) who will confidentially carry out an inquiry and then if
needed escalate their report to external agencies.
Our School strives towards ZERO TOLERANCE to child abuse and violations in
any form. Our policy and procedures are reviewed annually by our Child
Protection Committee (CPC) which is made up of management representative,
school staff, and a parent representative. By adopting this CPP, the School
intends to sensitise its Members (as defined below) working with children
about child abuse.
For further information on the Child Safety policy, please contact the
Principal.
