Performing Arts

At Trio World School, the performing arts inspire creativity and confidence. Students explore both Indian and Western music and learn dance forms ranging from Hip-hop to Bharatnatyam.

Drama is an exciting part of literature classes through lively enactments. During major events like the Annual Day, theatre professionals mentor students — bringing alive the NEP’s vision of holistic, experiential learning through the arts.

Music plays an important role in the development of a child's growth. It stimulates the brain, relieves stress, and enhances social skills.

We at Trio, believe in and encourage students to explore their potential in all domains of music - vocal and instrument. TWS offers a multitude of learning options in instrumental music - Guitar, Tabla, and Keyboard. Indian classical and Western Classical music is also a part of the curriculum.

Through music, students get an opportunity to:

  • Improve their vocal cords and vocal quality - exercises and 'Alankarika Swaras' of Indian classical music is practiced.
  • Enhance their musical knowledge, pitch, and rhythm skills.
  • Understand the different classical Ragas along with tala (Beats and rhythms).
  • Learn different kinds of songs like devotional, patriotic, light music, folk music, and classical music.

Western Music

Trio World School imparts western music through learning English songs vocally or to play instruments to western melodies. Guitar or the keyboard are used to teach western songs. Songs are adapted and reimagined to a level where children can sing and enjoy the song.

Dance is art in motion. It helps in coordination, strength, quickness, and agility. Dance classes are structured and planned with the balance of both fun and learning.

Our classes incorporate:

  • Various rhythmic pattern movements which encourage coordination, fine and gross motor skills.
  • Dance curriculum which covers different dance forms (Folk, Western and Classical).
  • Theory classes, to help students to gain knowledge on cultural and traditional roots of dance.

Zumba

Zumba as an activity is fun and effective. It includes interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an effective aerobic workout while targeting overall fitness, flexibility, and endurance.

  • The workout has a watch and follow format. The movements are repeated often enough for students to catch on and they are not complicated.
  • Difficulty level of the routine is planned according to the age group of the students.

Arts and crafts play a pivotal role in a child's education by nurturing creativity and self-expression. Integrating these activities in school helps students develop not just artistic skills, but also important life skills. Arts and crafts activities at Trio complement the ICSE curriculum’s emphasis on a balanced education.

Engaging students in arts and crafts fosters creativity by encouraging them to think outside the box and experiment with diverse materials and ideas. It also improves fine motor skills as students learn to handle tools and materials carefully. Moreover, it enhances problem-solving abilities as they figure out how to bring their ideas to life.

Art provides a hands-on learning experience that keeps students actively engaged in the process. It allows for personal expression, helping students build confidence in their unique abilities. Collaborative projects also encourage teamwork and communication among peers. Participating in arts and crafts creates a sense of belonging, as students share their creations and appreciate each other’s work. This fosters a supportive environment where creativity, patience, innovation, and collaboration go hand in hand. Additionally, Trio art exhibitions and group projects help build a sense of community and pride among students.
