Sports and PE are as integral to a child’s wellbeing and development as academics. Exceptionally qualified and experienced sports professionals conduct sports and PE for our students. TWS strives to inculcate awareness about the importance of physical health from an early age, in all our students. All activities are conducted in an age-appropriate manner, with periodic assessments to keep our students motivated. Safety norms and precautionary measures are given a high priority during all sporting activities. Our Sports and PE programme instils values like healthy competition, respect, fairness, and cooperation in our students.
Physical fitness is one of the most important elements of leading a healthy lifestyle. Physical education promotes inclusion of a regular fitness activity in the routine. This helps the students to maintain their fitness, develop their muscular strength, increase their stamina and thus stretch their physical abilities to an optimum level. Sound physical fitness promotes increased absorption of nutrients, better functioning of digestion and all other physiological processes and hence results in all round fitness.
Prime PE: Physical Education programme for children covering Primary School. Each module is designed to develop age-specific physical attributes and learning objectives. Children are assessed periodically to track their progress from Basic to Mature and Advanced levels
Senior PE: Physical Education programme for children covering High School. Each module is designed to develop age-specific physical attributes and learning objectives. Children are assessed periodically to track their progress from Basic to Mature and Advanced levels
Mass Drill: Mass Drills help the students to maintain their fitness, develop their muscular strength, increase their stamina and thus stretch their physical abilities to an optimum level. Physical fitness helps to inculcate the importance of maintaining a healthy body, which in turn keeps them happy and energised.
Athletics Programme
Athletics build the foundation for all sports.
The Athletic Programme covers the age group 7 – 10 years, 11 – 14 years and above.
Key focus is to develop skills in Sprint, Long Distance Running.
The programme is implemented with periodic evaluation process.
