What is MUN?

MUN stands for Model United Nations. It is a simulation of the United Nations for students at TRIO World School.
How does MUN work?
MUN is conducted once a year. Topics are chosen from current events. Each student is assigned to be a delegate of a particular country. A real-world scenario or problem is assigned to them. They must then attempt to solve the issue at hand based on the policies and resources they have at hand
as a representative of that country. The students need to create policy documents, an opening speech, research and subsequently a resolution document on their assigned issue.

What are the skills that MUN teaches?

MUN helps students understand how the United Nations works. Students pick up skills like leadership, research, critical thinking, diplomacy, international relations, and teamwork.

What classes is MUN open to?

Roy Bennett, the author of the book ‘Light in the heart’ has said “Don’t be pushed around by the fears in your mind. Be led by the dreams in your heart”.

To follow your dreams, a choice of career should be an informed one. The process of choosing the right career starts with self-assessment followed by research on different career options. To do all this, students need to be aware of the different options that match their interests.

We at Trio World School meticulously help students identify the different careers choices that can be taken up, know the requirements in terms of educational qualification, aptitude, skills, and attitude. We strive to create awareness in different fields like engineering, medicine, civil services, commerce, performing arts, journalism, law and many more.

This guidance is given by parents of our students who have been enthusiastic participants in our endeavour.
