The CISCE offers two examinations for different levels, namely, the <strong>Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ICSE)<\/strong> for Class X and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) for Class XII. Both have their origins in the <strong>Cambridge curriculum (IGCSE)<\/strong>. CISCE examination scores are accepted by universities in India and abroad. The curriculum is extremely flexible and students can learn from a variety of subject books, instead of a single prescribed text book. Students of ISC and <strong>ICSE schools<\/strong> also have a wealth of courses to pick from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the overview of ISCE and ISC exams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) &#8211; Class X<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/trioworldschool.com\">Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)<\/a><\/strong> provides a framework for a ten-year course from Class I to Class X. The <strong>ISCE<\/strong> requires students to study six subjects as well as Socially Useful Productive Work (SUPW). To be eligible for the examination, the students should have compulsorily completed the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A third language from at least Class V to Class VIII (Internal Examination)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Art (Internal Assessment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Socially Useful Productive Work and Community Service (Internal Assessment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Physical Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education in Moral and Spiritual Values<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students can select subjects from three subject groups. At the end of Class X, students appear for their exam through their respective ISCE schools, for subjects of their choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Group I (Compulsory Subjects):<\/strong> English, Second Language, History, Civics and Geography.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Group II (Electives &#8211; Choose 2 or 3):<\/strong> Mathematics, Science, Economics, Commercial Studies, a Modern Foreign Language, a Classical Language, Environmental Science.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Group III (Choose 1):<\/strong> Students cannot pick the same subjects from both Group II and Group III. Typically, they must offer both Science and Mathematics from Group II.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Any valid subject combination will be accepted into ISC (Class XII).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Indian School Certificate (ISC) &#8211; Class XII<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Indian School Certificate (ISC)<\/strong> is a two-year course, offered in English. A student can apply for Class XI after successful completion of Class X or its equivalent. It is not applicable to private students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility for ISC (Class XII):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A student must have passed English and four other written subjects under their respective, recognised board at a Class X\/equivalent examination taken at the same sitting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ISC Subject Structure:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>English (Compulsory)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three, four, or five elective subjects<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SUPW and community service (Compulsory)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examination System:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Class XI: Graded internally by the school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Class XII: Evaluated externally by the Council<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/trioworldschool.comicse-school.html\">Trio World School<\/a> is one of the fastest-growing <a href=\"https:\/\/trioworldschool.com\">ICSE schools in Bangalore<\/a>.
